I kinda dig this
But I wish it was lowered. A mustang-a-mino is an interesting idea

It’s more accurate this way. At least it’s
actually
a truck instead of just driving like one.

It definitely needs to be lowered. It looks even more ungainly than a normal El Camino.

Was that a mustang jab?

I agree.

Was gonna make a live axle joke … but this is better.

Needs the side skirts and rear lip removed as well. That way the front bumper isn’t awkwardly higher than them.

Must-anchero?
Mustachero...
Mustache...
Mustache ride.

Yup, I agree with all of that

Ranger-stang! In all honesty it probably has the same v6, transmission, and rear axle as the same era Mustang v6.

What about these...
Photoshop, but still...

Definetly the same V6, not the same trans (the ranger manual was a mazda m5od and the mustang box was a T5) but definetly the same rear axle.
My ranger has a 4.0 OHV V6, an m5od 5 speed and a 3.55 LSD on a ford 8.8 rear end. I call it my mustang with a bed and a crap ton of body roll

This is cool. (Steve Stanford Designs ‘72 Ranchero with a ‘70 Torino GT nose grafted on, in leu of the 72 Torino-style nose.) Maybe a bit too low and fancy to be useful, but it is a concept illustration of coolness.
That picture above, the worst Ranger, with the worst Mustang front end bolted on, and the worst possible aftermarket accessories.... is a horrific abomination that should be nuked from orbit, just to be sure.
